Dr Emily Kotschet has extensive experience in arrhythmia management, including catheter ablation, with special expertise in curative atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation and special interest in arrhythmias in pregnancy and congenital heart disease. She also inserts pacemakers and implantable defibrillators and performs cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure.
Emily completed basic cardiology training at the Alfred Hospital, followed by specialist electrophysiology fellowship training at Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne and two years at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, Canada.
Emily is currently a member of the senior medical staff, MonashHeart, Monash Health where she is also a practising consultant in electrophysiology and pacing. Emily heads the busy cardiology team each week at Cardiology Outpatients, Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.
