Siobhan graduated from Monash University with MBBS (Hons) in 2001. She completed her basic and advanced clinical training through Monash Health, becoming a fellow of the Australasian College of Physicians in 2010. Siobhan undertook her clinical cardiology training with MonashHeart including a two-year fellowship in echocardiology, specialising in transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress echocardiography. In addition, Siobhan has also completed training in cardiac computed tomography (CT) with CVCTA/MonashHeart.
Siobhan is a consultant cardiologist at MonashHeart, the cardiology service of Monash Health, in the areas of general cardiology and cardiac imaging – echocardiography and cardiac CT.Siobhan is also a key member of the MonashHeart structural heart disease program and is heavily involved in the development and implementation of novel, percutaneous structural heart disease therapies such as trans-catheter aortic valve implantation.
In 2014, Siobhan was the recipient of a Victorian Department of Health and Human Services grant which facilitated the development of the MonashHeart Early Intervention Systolic Heart Failure program, which focuses on heart failure patient education and self-management to avoid hospital readmission. In addition, Siobhan works in collaboration with the Monash Women’s program as part of the high-risk, cardio-obstetric clinic.
