Professor Ian Meredith - Director of MonashHeartProfessor Ian Meredith has over 20 years experience as an interventional cardiologist. He has performed more than 10,000 invasive cardiac and coronary procedures. He is author or co-author of more than 200 published papers and has been principle investigator of over 30 major international multicentre, randomised trials including world first-in-man trials of new drug-eluting stents. Ian is the Medical Vice President of the Heart Foundation, Victoria, a CSANZ board member and serves on several advisory boards and government committees. |

Ms Amy Dorat - Clinical Nurse Educator, Cardiac Care Unit, Jessie McPherson Private HospitalEarly experience in cardiothoracic nursing lead to Ms Amy Dorrat’s interest in cardiac nursing. Amy subsequently completed post graduate qualifications in critical care and now is the clinical nurse educator on the 26-bed Jessie McPherson cardiac care unit, leading nursing education on this combined cardiology and cardiothoracic unit. |
Ms Yasmine Ivankovic - Clinical Nurse Educator, Cardiac Care Unit, ClaytonAfter many years of cardiac nursing on the cardiac care unit, Clayton, Ms Yasmine Ivankovic now has the position of clinical nurse educator for this 21-bed and 60 EFT unit. Yasmine's passion is shaping new models of learning for cardiac care nursing and leading knowledge development in the cardiac field of healthcare. |

Ms Penny Woodward - Clinical Nurse Educator, 32 South, Monash Medical Centre, ClaytonWith qualifications in intensive care nursing and extensive experience in cardiothoracic nursing Ms Penny Woodward now specialises in nurse education on 32 South, the 24-bed combined cardiology and cardiothoracic unit. With a diversity of teaching challenges including TSP and critical care students, GNP’s and unit staff, Penny liaises closely with her cardiac educator colleagues to provide the best of education. |

Jeff has been the Head of Electrophysiology, Monash Medical Centre, Clayton since 1996 and since 2007 has been the Head of Cardiac Rhythm Management Services, MonashHeart. Jeff also holds an honorary electrophysiologist appointment with the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. |

Dr Yuvaraj Malaiapan - Head of Interventional ServicesDr Yuvaraj Malaiapan completed his subspecialty training in cardiology at Penang Hospital, Malaysia, subsequently undertaking interventional training at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. He was appointed as Director of the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories and Interventional Cardiology, MonashHeart in 2005. In 2007, Yuvaraj became the Head of Interventional Services, MonashHeart. |

Ms Kirsten Garner - Cardiac Liaison CoordinatorWith an extensive background and post graduate qualifications in cardiothoracic and intensive care nursing, Ms Kirsten Garner is well credentialed to undertake the role of cardiac liaison coordinator for both cardiothoracics and cardiology patients across Southern Health. This challenging role involves care coordination across the whole cardiac continuum of care including the coordination of all inpatients and outpatients for cardiac surgery and cardiac catheterisation laboratory procedures. |

Ms Sarah Jager - Nurse Unit Manager, 31 North, Jessie McPherson Private Hospital, ClaytonMs Sarah Jager has been part of the Jessie McPherson Private Hospital cardiac care unit for seven years, completing a critical care course and has extensive experience working in various Melbourne private hospital critical care units. She now holds the position of Nurse Unit Manager in the Jessie McPherson Private Hospital cardiac care unit, a 26 bed unit with a strong cardiac focus on cardiology and cardiothoracic patient care. |

John is the nurse unit manager of the three cardiac catheterisation laboratories at MonashHeart Clayton and the 320-slice cardiac CT service. John is a sought-after speaker at national and international cardiology conferences and is an active member of a number of organising committees. |

Ms Kerrie Aldridge - Nurse Unit Manager, Cardiac Care Unit, Monash Medical Centre, ClaytonAfter training and experience at Dandenong Hospital in intensive and cardiac care nursing, Ms Kerrie Aldridge completed a Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing. Now the nurse unit manager of the 21-bed Clayton cardiac care unit, Kerrie leads this unit which manages a very high percentage of STEMI cases, well above the state and national average. |

Ms Julie Plunkett - Manager, Monash Cardiovascular Research CentrePrior to her current position, Ms Julie Plunkett had a number of years experience working in the cardiology field both as a cardiac catheterisation laboratory nurse and also in the medical device industry. She has witnessed the evolution of cardiac catheterisation laboratory interventions for coronary and cardiac structural disease over time. For the last decade Julie has managed the Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre, leading its world class research. |

Ms Chris Rasmussen - Nurse Unit Manager, Cardiac Care Unit, Dandenong HospitalMs Chris Rasmussen has lead the cardiac care nursing team at Dandenong Hospital for a number of years, a team that is very experienced in all disciplines of acute cardiac care nursing. Chris is active on a number of Southern Health committees including the resuscitation committee and clinical review committee. |
