Chain Reaction ride for sick newborn babies
After a gruelling 1200 kilometre ride from Sydney to Melbourne, which raised an astonishing $1 million, MonashHeart cardiac technologist Nick Youngs along with 43 other members of the Chain Reaction team were welcomed home by Lord Mayor Robert Doyle. This year’s ride raised funds for the purchase of Victoria’s first MRI compatible incubator for the neonatal intensive care unit at Monash Medical Centre. Nick was a wonderful ambassador for MonashHeart; a strong rider through the Snowy Mountains, and indeed the duration of the week long ride – well done Nick!
