Completion of cardiac catheterisation laboratory replacement

Monday 11th October 2010 marked the completion of cardiac catheterisation laboratory eight replacement works at MonashHeart Clayton, with the first angioplasty procedure performed by Director of MonashHeart Professor Ian Meredith. Professor Meredith was impressed with the quality of imaging of this new state-of-the-art biplane Toshiba lab: “the imaging is phenomenal, it is so easy to see within 1mm; this will certainly improve accuracy of stent deployment in complex procedures and therefore improve patient outcomes”.
