Raising funds for cardiac monitors
We congratulate members of the MonashHeart team who challenged themselves in the Run Melbourne event on Sunday 17 July. Staff participated in the full range of fitness events; with some running in the half marathon, 10km, 5km and 3km run/walk. The fundraising goal was to raise funds for the purchase of cardiac monitors for the paediatric ward at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, where children with cardiac conditions can be cared for rather than in the adult cardiac care unit. At last count, over $32,271 has been raised - an extraordinary achievement!
