The honourable David Davis visits MonashHeart
MonashHeart was fortunate to host a visit of the Victorian Health Minister the honourable David Davis on Thursday 29 September, in support of World Heart Day. The minister announced $22.2 million for the Life! program which will be expanded from taking action on diabetes to also include cardiovascular disease. The minister was impressed with our commitment to raising the profile of heart disease risk in the community and the need for all of us to adopt heart-healthy strategies in our lives. Former heart attack patient Mark told his very emotional story of suffering a heart attack earlier this year at the age of 42, and the many lifestyle changes he has made since.
