Nursing

The opportunities

Cardiac nursing opportunities are available for registered nurses with real talent and a passion for cardiac nursing. MonashHeart is the largest provider of inpatient cardiac services in Victoria, admitting over 7,500 patients with acute heart conditions each year. There are many different career opportunities for cardiac nursing across our five units. Our nurse unit managers and clinical nurse educators are commited to investing in your ongoing education and training, to challenge you and to help you to reach your potential.

Cardiac nursing options are varied and fall into two main areas:
  • Cardiac care nursing
  • Cardiac catheterisation laboratory nursing
Each area offers different nursing skill development, different clinical practice challenges and different hours of work. We even offer shared employment opportunities across two cardiac areas. We collaborate closely with our medical colleagues and allied health professionals in delivering the very best of cardiac care 24/7 for our emergency, emergent and elective patients.
