Dr Brian Ko graduated from the University of New South Wales with honours in 2000. Having completed his advanced cardiology training at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, Brian developed an interest in cardiac CT and fractional flow reserve.
Joining MonashHeart in 2009 for a combined PhD and interventional fellowship, Brian is expanding this interest, being the principle investigator in the pilot study ‘Myocardial Stress Perfusion Imaging with 320-slice Multidetector CT: Comparison with Fractional Flow Reserve'. This work has already been recognised as the first of its kind in the world, with Brian travelling to Japan and contributing to Toshiba Pty Ltd research and development of advances in cardiac CT stress perfusion software.
