Tests and procedures
How long will the test/procedure take and when can I drive?
The table below is a guide to the approximate duration of our tests and procedures; from preparation through to finishing the test/procedure and recovery. Times will vary according to individual needs i.e. a longer recovery time may be needed in some cases.
We have also provided guidelines about when you can drive. As some tests and procedures involve sedation and/or anaesthesia, you are often not allowed to drive until the next day. If you do drive and have an accident you may not be covered by insurance or the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
