Dr Siobhan Lockwood is a consultant cardiologist with MonashHeart and a member of the MonashHeart non-invasive imaging service.
Siobhan completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honours at Monash University in 2001, going on to complete her post graduate training with Southern Health, where she developed an interest in cardiology. Siobhan undertook her clinical cardiology training with MonashHeart including a two-year fellowship in echocardiology, specialising in transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress echocardiography. In addition, Siobhan has also completed level two training in cardiac computed tomography (CT) with CVCTA/MonashHeart.
Siobhan has a special research interest in the clinical application of cardiac CT and echocardiography, particularly in the area of aortic valve disease and transcatheter aortic valve implantation. Siobhan has presented her work on these topics both nationally and internationally. She commenced a PhD in this emerging area of cardiology in mid-2010.
