MonashHeart Golf Challenge
The annual fund raising MonashHeart golf day, held on Monday 8th November 2010, raised significant funds for the purchase of a special heart ultrasound probe for new born babies at MonashHeart Dandenong and a blood pressure monitor for the cardiac care unit, MonashHeart Clayton.
On a superb 23 degree C day, over 50 players enjoyed the beautifully manicured fairways, challenging bunkers and large undulating greens of Huntingdale Golf Club. Lunch attendees were treated to award winning catering, whilst guest speaker, two time world triathlon champion Emma Carney told her personal story of developing a dangerous heart condition in 2004 and being treated by the MonashHeart team.
